Strange



Promises of gifts and love...
They are strange and foreign to me.
Hugs and kisses,
   comforting words;
I never thought I'd feel this way again.
It's strange to be in love,
      for the cliche is,
is that you don't expect it.
Love worms its way between the cracks,
      and it lingers.
You don't feel it at first,
but then you see the small hole,
     and you realize
 that it's not that bad.
Once you see that it's not so bad,
         you begin to tear down the walls,
and see love before you,
     and indeed,
it is not a bad thing.
Indeed, it may be strange,
  but love is a good thing.
